Clinical Supervision
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2017, first licensed in Oklahoma and later in North Carolina. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to learn from thoughtful clinical supervisors, infant mental health reflective supervisors, and the supervisors and colleagues I worked alongside in agency and community mental health settings. Those experiences have shaped how I approach supervision today.
I am passionate about social work and especially enjoy helping early-career therapists build confidence, develop their clinical identity, and get off to a strong start. My approach to supervision is reflective and relational, with an emphasis on helping you understand not only what you are doing in the therapy room, but why.
One of the first things I remember my clinical supervisor telling me was, “We are the tools that we use.” That idea has stayed with me. I believe good supervision creates space to explore the use of self, instinct, insight, clinical judgment, and the ways our own experiences can show up in our work with clients. My goal is to help you become more comfortable trusting yourself while also knowing when to pause, ask questions, and seek another perspective.
I also have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice. Years after graduate school, you will still find me on Google Scholar looking for the research behind a particular question—and I will encourage you to do the same. I want supervision to be a place where curiosity is valued and where clinical intuition and thoughtful use of research can work together.
I currently work primarily with young children and their families, but my experience is broad. My background includes crisis response in schools, advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and work within the criminal justice and foster care systems. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with clients and families across a wide range of circumstances and to develop a flexible, trauma-informed approach to clinical work.
Supervision is $120 per session. I offer some flexibility for therapists who primarily serve uninsured or Medicaid populations. If you are looking for a supervisor who will challenge you, support you, and help you develop your own clinical voice, I would love to connect.
